Looking across the way….(while on a ship inspection) and what did I see…..

The Disney Fantasy!!!

The Disney Fantasy is the fourth ship in the expanding Disney cruise line, and was Christened on March 1, 2012. It is Disney Dreams sister ship.

Disney Fantasy also has the popular AquaDuck Water Coaster, the first Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at sea that will turn into the Pirates League on Mickey’s Pirates in the Caribbean Party Nights. The Nightclubs District is called Europa and features a re-imagined and expanded Skyline Club, The Tube, Le Plazza, O’Gills Pub and Ooh La La, an adults only lounge.

The shows in the Walt Disney Theater include Disney’s BelieveDisney Wishes, and Disney’s Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular.

She also sails from Port Canaveral, FL.

The ship will embark on alternating Eastern and Western 7 night Caribbean cruises, and will call on Disney’s private island Castaway Cay.

Why use a Travel Agent?

Posted in DISNEY CRUISE LINE, EVERYTHING DISNEY with tags on March 27, 2012 by disneychronicles

I may be getting a little of topic here but I thought this was important…

Yet another reason why it is important to use an experienced “Travel Agent”!

Imagine opening your balcony door to see a new and breathtaking part of the world each morning. A stateroom with a balcony is a great way to make your cruise adventure even more memorable and truly take in your destination

……unless this is YOUR view!

YUP! believe it or not this is considered an unobstructed balcony! why yes that is public stairway you are looking at :-/

Obviously not all surprises are GOOD! so consult a professional 🙂

Four Points Sheraton-Cocoa Beach

Posted in DISNEY CRUISE LINE, FLORIDA ADVENTURES, FLORIDA BEACHES with tags , on March 9, 2012 by disneychronicles

So I had a chance to stay at the Four Points Sheraton in Cocoa Beach.  This is a “FUN” hotel for sure! The theme is awesome! It is a plethora of surfboards, surf shops & memorabilia. While it is not beachfront it is very close to the beach literally you walk towards the back of the hotel and your there. This is also great for  a Pre or Post cruise hotel or a break from the parks and a day at the beach.

This hotel is in the heart of the action in Cocoa Beach.  Directly across the side road is Ron Jon’s Surf Shop. This isn’t your typical hotel from the outside.  Positioned close to the street, the front is decorated with large fountains and ponds, several large surfboards, lots of plants and sport themed photos. The bright colors make it stand out and you just think FUN!

The entrance is around the back where you’ll also find a multi-story parking garage that serves the retail businesses and the hotel. Also for those needing to know YES there is a Starbucks inside. The exterior was well maintained and clean, although the pool area could use a refresh. It is outside by the garage and very small. You could easily miss it if you weren’t looking for it. Overall it was a fun stay and I would recommend it!

Disney’s Castaway Cay

Posted in DISNEY CRUISE LINE with tags on August 22, 2011 by disneychronicles

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again! I LOVE THIS PLACE!

Castaway Cay is officially one of my favorite places on Earth!
I would take another cruise just to go there! I can honestly say this was the best part of the whole trip. The water is beautiful. There is something for everyone to do; water slides, palm trees to lay under, water bikes, stingrays, snorkeling, bicycles, massages cabanas, endless drinks and even places to eat.

Disney makes everything easy for you, and the food, childcare, and beach experience is no exception. The new water slide was great, but you have to swim out and back about 50 yards to use it. Disney’s idea of a buffer, I guess. The entire operation was well supervised with life jackets for kids who were not great swimmers. The “Spring-a-Leak” water playground may not look like much to an adult (a series of spouting water), but every kid between 3-10 loved it. They also have a kids club, which features a “whale Dig” children dig for whalebones in the sand. As adults is was great to be able to relax at a beach knowing kids were engaged and safe. Which brings me to Serenity Bay, this is a adults only beach. The sand is white….the water a clear turquoise! It is beautiful and quiet! HEAVEN!
