Not sure what that is?

Just keep reading…

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party! and one of my favorite events at Disney! I have to add that I was worried my boys would grow out of it but really who grows out of all that CANDY!

This is a separate ticketed event that runs August to Early November. Magic Kingdom will close to all other guests and the party will go from 7pm to Midnight.

Don’t miss your chance to collect so MUCH candy, sweets and frightfully delightful treats–all while the park hosts grim grinning ghosts, eerie entertainment and Disney Characters that go bump in the night. Well sort of…since the tone of this event is “not-so-scary,” that means children of every age can enjoy the fun!

Many special events will entertain you thorough the night including…

One of my favorites? The Boo To You Parade! Make sure you line up early to see the Headless Horseman!

Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular

Hallowishes, Character Meet and Greets (Yes, In their Halloween best!)

Photo Ops, Exclusive Merchandise and did I mention shorter lines for the rides! It’s true!

If you missed it let’s plan a trip for next year! 😉

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party 2013

This past Sunday we attended Disney’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.  It was our 3rd year in a row.

I almost didn’t go thinking maybe we need a break but then thought OH LET’S GO!

And I gotta say I’m glad we did!

I’m not sure what was different but this year it was just BETTER!

Maybe it seemed like more people were in costume, better candy! Not as many tootsie rolls!

And the park seemed to be decorated more throughout, not just on Main Street!

I may have never noticed the big skull and spider hologram on the top mountain of the Thunder Mountain ride before but I did this year!

Of Course the classics and must do’s were all there…starting with

Featuring the Headless Horseman!

And my favorite would be Happy HalloWishes which is the Halloween fireworks spectacular!

This year they also added more Trick or Trick locations mainly because of Fantasyland.

There was one at the Peter Pans flight queue, Pinocchio Village Haus, 2 Story Circus locations and 1 near the Little Mermaid Ride, Under the Sea.

There was a total of 13 locations.

So if you haven’t been yet I recommend you go! I think I may even go back next year!

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Coming….2014

Posted in DISNEY'S MAGIC KINGDOM with tags on June 3, 2013 by disneychronicles

At this point I think we have all gotten used to all the scrims and construction walls that have gone up in the Magic Kingdom.  There is an end…..well they just haven’t exactly announced when.

The FINAL piece that will be added to Fantasyland is The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. We can expect it sometime in Spring 2014.

The ride will vary in speed, slowing down for elaborate dark ride-style moments, then speed up for higher-speed thrills indoors and out.  It will feature a new ride system which simulates the swaying and tipping one would expect to experience in a mine cart.

Disney says the slow progress of the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train construction is because they want to take their time to make sure the magic is perfected before they open.  I do hope it is worth waiting this long for!

Disney’s Monstrous Summer All-Nighter …my thoughts…

Posted in DISNEY'S MAGIC KINGDOM with tags , on May 26, 2013 by disneychronicles

To kick off the summer season and celebrate the June opening of the new Disney film Monsters University, Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom was open for 24 hours yesterday! Now I am an addict but I’m not THAT crazy! I do have my limits.

I suppose for some this could be the Ultimate Adventure, especially if you are there for vacation. There’s nothing like getting in a few extra hours at the parks if your limited on time.

Guests received Monstrous Summer buttons and special guides have been printed outlining the day’s special events, including Mike and Sulley appearing in a pre-parade and meeting and greeting with guests in Tomorrowland during the late night hours. (I have to be honest, we spent about 7 hours in the park and I really expected there to be a bit more).

Mike and Sully lead the way as the Grand Marshalls of the “Celebrate a Dream Come True” parade down Main Street, U.S.A and they also had a dance party that focused on the “Monsters”..

If you stop in at Monster’s Inc. Laugh Floor, keep your eyes open for a new feature…

Special “Monster’s” merchandise was rolled out for this event that also includes Sulley ear hats, T-shirts,

cupcakes, and cake pops.

It was fun, and nice to see something different but I do wish that they did a little bit more. Honestly I was in bed by 1am and perfectly happy to be 😀
