  • Join Belle in an enchanting story performance in the Beast’s castle library.
  • Be Our Guest and dine in one of three enchanted rooms inside the Beast’s castle.
  • Fly with Dumbo high above brand new circus grounds, twice the size of the existing attraction with a new interactive, three-ring circus tent.

Chef Mickey’s Dining Experience!

Posted in DISNEY DINING with tags on July 30, 2011 by disneychronicles

In a nutshell….the food was good, but not great. There didn’t seem to be many options. I have done the breakfast before and actually enjoyed that more. But the food is not why one would come here! The reason to go is for the characters one could easily meet Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto. The food here is buffet style. There are 2 different ones – an adult & a child sized buffet. The kid’s buffet was at the height of a child so they could dish up their own plates. It also had all their favorites – mac n cheese, pizza, hot dogs, and nuggets. The dessert bar was the hit of the meal. Ice cream, brownies, cookies, cakes ect..

The meal itself is a little pricey. The Dinner for 4 is approximately $150. But, if you are going for the whole Disney experience, it is definitely worth it.

Fantasyland Update…..

Posted in EVERYTHING DISNEY on July 25, 2011 by disneychronicles

Can’t wait! Can’t wait!

It is Disney’s biggest expansion ever!

Scheduled to open at the Magic Kingdom in Florida in 2012/2013, the new-new Fantasyland  plan adds one ride, re-themes another and significantly scales back the princess-focused elements of the original outline.

Among the new additions:

* The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train coaster, which takes riders through the story of “Snow White,” will feature ride vehicles that swing back and forth.

* The Goofy-themed Barnstormer kiddie coaster gets a makeover as The Great Goofini, combining circus sideshow elements with a flying school storyline.

* The Princess Fairytale Hall will serve as a meet-and-greet area for Cinderella, Aurora, Tiana and Rapunzel, taking over the Snow White’s Scary Adventure dark-ride location. The new centralized hall replaces individual meet-and-greet areas envisioned for many of the princesses.

Several key elements remain from the 2009 plan, including the centerpiece Voyage of the Little Mermaid dark ride, the dueling Dumbo flying elephants ride, the “Beauty and the Beast” themed Be Our Guest restaurant, Gaston’s Tavern and Belle’s Cottage.

O’Hana Polynesian Restaurant

One of my Favorite restaurants at one of my Fav Resorts!

O’hana restaurant in Disney’s Polynesian Resort offers a dinner menu with selections influenced by Polynesian cuisine and a Character Dining breakfast. Both meals are served family style, which makes sense since in the Hawaiian culture ‘ohana means family.

The dinner menu includes grilled meats from long skewers, churrascaria style! Asian Barbequed Pork Loin Skewers, Oak Grilled Turkey Skewers, Marinated Sirloin Steak Skewer, and unpeeled, Marinated Shrimp. Side dishes include stir-fried vegetables, fried dumplings, lo mein noodles and a salad starter. Dessert is a wonderful caramel bread pudding.
