A whole bunch of herky jerky! Yes that is the best way to explain this ride! Not really fast or scary but very themed and fun!

Posted in DISNEY ATTRACTIONS, DISNEY'S HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS with tags ONE MAN'S DREAM on August 22, 2011 by disneychroniclesThis is a walk through attraction and was specifically created to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Walt Disney’s birth. It is a trip through time that starts with his birth in 1901 in Chicago, Illinois and continues through his inventions, innovations and visions for a company that has become synonymous with magic.
One Man’s Dream is an attraction easy to work into your touring schedule as there is never a line for it. Keep in mind during slower times of the year, the attraction will only be open for a few hours per day so be sure to work it in when you have some down time. There is a lot of detail in this attraction so take the time to enjoy the exhibits and take it all in. I enjoyed it, you really get a great overview of how it all began.
FUN FACT: Did you know Walt Disney only attended one year of high school!

Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros
Posted in DISNEY ATTRACTIONS, DISNEY'S EPCOT with tags GRAN FIESTA TOUR on August 20, 2011 by disneychroniclesWe had a chance to visit Epcot today! Whoo Hooo
We went on the Gran Fiesta Tour starring the three caballeros. It is a very slow boat ride. It is a little dark but very cute! My kids loved it!
After boarding the boats, guests float around the Mayan pyramid in the back of the pavilion’s main room. Soon, guests enter a tunnel on the side of the pyramid, where Panchito Pistoles and José Carioca of The Three Caballeros introduce themselves, only to find out that Donald Duck, the third member of the group, has run off, prompting Panchito and José to set off on a frantic search for their missing friend. The next few scenes show Donald touring Mexico and José and Panchito on a magic sarape (a sort of Mexican flying poncho) looking for him.
The next scene has characters similar to ‘It’s a Small World’ with dancing animatronics but at a much slower pace.
The attraction combines traditional animation superimposed over live-action film clips shot in such stunning locales as Acapulco, Chichen Itza, Manzanillo and Mexico City. These vibrant sights, accompanied by lively music, showcase the people, culture, history and arts of Mexico.
It’s Tough to be a Bug!
Posted in DISNEY ATTRACTIONS, DISNEY'S ANIMAL KINGDOM on August 16, 2011 by disneychroniclesIt’s Tough to Be a Bug! is a 9-minute long 3D film. The attraction opened in Disney’s Animal Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort on April 22, 1998, a full seven months before the actual feature debuted in theaters. While meandering through the Tree of Life’ s passageways, look closely at the bark. You’ll find animals intricately carved into it. The Tree of Life is decorated with over 300 of these detailed animal carvings.
This is a funny show! You get to see, hear, smell and feel all the things that bugs go through every day. The best part is that most of it is unexpected!
Your host, a mild-mannered ant named Flick (from Disney/Pixar film, “It’s a Bug’s Life”) starts the show, and he’ll introduce other bugs to you as the show continues.
It was my first time seeing it and we enjoyed it! and you can’t beat the air conditioning! 🙂
