Whispering Canyon Cafe

Posted in DISNEY DINING with tags , on May 28, 2012 by disneychronicles

In this rowdy, family-style restaurant right out of the Old West, start your morning with a bang-up breakfast of favorites such as buttermilk pancakes, omelets or an all-you-care-to-enjoy Canyon Skillet.

Had breakfast here and as always it was loads of laughs! and we really enjoyed it! Now I am pretty easy when it comes to breakfast so I had the oatmeal fruit & nutella bagel plate! Pretty basic but it was DELISH! We all agreed that the food was better than the usually Disney breakfasts. (well at least the buffets for sure)

the kids had scrambled eggs, biscuit and potatoes…

the hubby had the raisin french toast….

The atmosphere is relaxed, laid-back with a dash of silly! (I don’t want to give away any of the fun stuff) so for that you will just have to go!

It is also accessible by boat if you’re at the Magic Kingdom and want to sneak away for a meal. Breakfast hours are 7:30 am to 11:30 am.  Lunch is served from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm…and dinner is from 5 to 10 pm daily.

Go ahead!  It is LOUD!! and loads of FUN! Don’t miss it!

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

Posted in DISNEY RESORT REVIEWS with tags on May 26, 2012 by disneychronicles

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge—inspired by the Great American Northwest National Park lodges from the turn of the 20th century—is an architecturally grand Disney Deluxe Resort hotel honoring American craftsmanship and artistry, and celebrating the majesty of the unspoiled wilderness…..

Yup that’s their definition! but believe me this place is unbelievable.  It is one of my favorite Disney properties. The theming is incredible as Disney is know for doing a great job but with this one they really nailed it!

When you first walk in you are overwhelmed with the beauty of the lodge. You cannot help but feel relaxed at this property.

It is amazing! Also convenient to Magic Kingdom by boat.

On the Resort grounds, look for the bubbling spring that flows into a creek, tumbles over a sparkling waterfall and empties into the swimming pool. Catch the eruption of Fire Rock Geyser, fashioned after Yellowstone National Park’s Old Faithful, with its plume of water jetting 120 feet into the air.

Food wise, I highly recommend the Whispering Canyon, the food was great and the show the servers put on as the wait on you is a blast. Ask for ketchup and a large drink and then sit back and watch. (I will also post a review of this restaurant).

The Disney Fantasy is the fourth ship in the expanding Disney cruise line, and was Christened on March 1, 2012. It is Disney Dreams sister ship.

Disney Fantasy also has the popular AquaDuck Water Coaster, the first Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at sea that will turn into the Pirates League on Mickey’s Pirates in the Caribbean Party Nights. The Nightclubs District is called Europa and features a re-imagined and expanded Skyline Club, The Tube, Le Plazza, O’Gills Pub and Ooh La La, an adults only lounge.

The shows in the Walt Disney Theater include Disney’s BelieveDisney Wishes, and Disney’s Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular.

She also sails from Port Canaveral, FL.

The ship will embark on alternating Eastern and Western 7 night Caribbean cruises, and will call on Disney’s private island Castaway Cay.
