Have you heard….

As of May 6, 2012, all Duffy the Disney Bear products, including plush, costumes, accessories and souvenir items, will have a “same-item” purchase limit of five. (“Same-item” means items with the same SKU number, a merchandise identifier. For example, you could purchase up to five 17″ Duffy plush and up to five 28″ Duffy plush because they have different SKU numbers.) The same-item purchase limit of five Duffy products applies to all Disney locations, including international locations and online, with one exception: at Tokyo Disneyland, the same-item purchase limit on Duffy products remains at three per transaction.

May 2012 Newsletter is out!

Welcome Back!
I can’t believe this is the third Newsletter already!  Thanks for sticking it out with me!
Time sure does fly when your having fun!
I know many of you are locked into your summer vacation plans already…Congrats!
But if not no worries there’s still time.
Last month seemed to revolve around theme parks on my end!
I spent time at Epcot’s Flower & Garden Festival, Hollywood Studios and also a day at Busch Gardens!
This is the time they are gearing up for Spring and Summer travel and there are plenty of deals out there!
If your a planner cruises are also worth looking at.
There are great rates for fall with a handful of new ships making an entrance.
I’m sure you have heard the Disney Fantasy is Amazing, she graced us with her presence in March.
Carnival Breeze and the MSC Divina will join us in June and the Celebrity Reflection in October.

Adrian & Edith’s Head to Toe

Yes, there are tons of places to shop at all the Disney parks, and so easy to miss some when your surrounded by all the hustle & bustle! I still do and it’s a great surprise when I find a specialty shop!

Have you ever stopped in at Head to Toe?

This shop is located on Hollywood Blvd. near the corner of Sunset Blvd.

Do you need your pair of Mickey ears personalized?

This is the place to do it!

 

The building is based on the Chapman Park Market, which is located at 3501-3519 W 6th St, Los Angeles, California (LA’s Koreatown neighborhood).

The name of the shop is a reference to two of Hollywood’s most famous designers, Adrian Greenberg and Edith Head. Adrian is best known for the costumes that were designed for the Wizard of Oz and Adrian for the design of the famous ruby slippers that Dorothy wore. Adrian worked on over 250 films and worked in the 1930’s for MGM, which makes an obvious reason why in part he was chosen to have a store named after him in a park that was co-branded with MGM. Not to be outdone, Edith is known for her work on the Ten Commandments as well as The Sting. Edith was nominated for 34 Oscars over the course of her career. Edith’s work was so famous that there is speculation that she was the inspiration for the character of Edna Mode in The Incredibles film.

STAR WARS WEEKENDS at Hollywood Studios

Did you know today is a Holiday? LOL!

Well to some avid Star Wars Fans it is!

May 4 is considered a holiday by Star Wars fans to celebrate Star Wars culture and honor the films.

May 4 is called Star Wars Day because of the popularity of a common pun spoken on this day.

Since the phrase “May the Force be with you” is a famous quote often spoken in the Star Wars films, fans commonly

say “May the fourth be with you” on this day.

huh! Who knew!

So I though it would be a great time to talk about Star Wars Weekends at Hollywood Studios!

They are starting soon!

Dates: May 18, 2012–June 10, 2012

STAR WARS™ WEEKENDS

Come immerse yourself in the power of the Force during Star Wars™ Weekends at Disney’s Hollywood Studios®, select weekends 2012.

As reported in the Disney Parks Blog in February, the event’s poster artwork will feature Donald Duck as Darth Maul, whimsically created by Tyler Dumas and Casey Jones from Disney Design Group. This marquee image and theme will be used throughout the Star WarsWeekends 2012 merchandise collection, including ceramic mugs, towels, picture frames, t-shirts, pins, buttons, shopping bags, watches, figures, and an iPhone 4/4S case, among others.

More items recently revealed include:

  • Open and limited-edition pins, boxed pin sets and a framed pin set
  • Darth Vader’s chest t-shirt with detachable cape
  • Chewbacca-inspired bandolier neck lanyard
  • “Piece of Death Star” pin
  • Six new Disney/Star Wars Vinylmation characters
  • Jedi Knight legs beach towel
  • Six different phrase buttons
  • Star Tours name tag in Aurebesh (language of the Star Wars galaxy)
