It was my 1st time! ……and I LOVED it!

Yes it was 90 degrees out when we started but it still felt like Halloween! and it did cool down at night! Perfection! The decorations when your walking through main street are great but that’s about it. Walking throughout the rest of the park it’s almost as if they forgot! I think that may be my only gripe!  It is very different then a regular day at the parks, you can feel the excitement in the air and the guest costumes really liven things up.  There’s a lot to do and it’s amazing how fast the time goes.

These parties restrict park attendance, so you will usually find that the attraction wait times are significantly less; however, the rides take the backseat, as the entertainment offerings are unique to only those attending the party.  The Disney characters strut their Halloween Costumes, the HalloWishes firework spectacular features perimeter fireworks and your favorite Disney Villain entertainment is FANTASTIC! The Boo To You Halloween Parade is by far my favorite parade (wait for the second showing, there’s definitely less of a crowd!)  We saw the headless horseman right before the parade started!

If you’re really into meeting characters, it’s difficult to meet all of the characters, watch the fireworks, do the Villians Dance Mix & Mingle, trick or treat AND watch both parades.  We actually didn’t do the character meets. That seemed to be where the longest lines were. I will have to come back for that for next year! Even the trick or treating was surprisingly quick. Long lines but constantly moving.

Treat wise…they did not skimp on the candy! they handed it out in handfuls! They did also sell hot Cocoa and carmel corn.

It’s these little details that make the party worth the money for us. We had a great time!

I will definitely do this again! but next year I WILL wear a costume!
